From Skeptic to Supporter: Freddy Removed Mold and Mildew Stains with Wet and Forget
Freddy K. from Manorville, NY, consistently had problems with mold and mildew stains on his patio pavers around his pool. Instead of power washing, he wanted to give Wet and Forget Outdoor Xtreme Reach™ Hose End a try.
Several years ago, he tried it out and saw no results. Freddy expected quick results but didn’t realize he had to be patient to see the magic happen.
Freddy didn’t know Wet & Forget’s bleach-free formula works overtime with rain and wind to remove moss, mold, mildew, and algae stains.
Wet and Forget suggests waiting a few weeks with rainfall to see results for green stains. Black stains and moss typically take several months to come clean with rain.
“This stuff really works; you just have to be patient” -Freddy G.
Last year at a warehouse store, he saw a fellow customer picking up two bottles of Wet and Forget and asked if it worked. The customer raved about the product, and explained to him how it really does work to stubborn green and black stains.
After talking with the customer, Freddy decided to give Wet and Forget another try.
“Lo and behold, it was amazing. I was amazed how it cleaned certain areas of my house and that’s why I purchased again this year and reached out to you guys.” Freddy G.
Freddy said that before he discovered Wet and Forget, he would spend an entire Saturday power-washing the mold and mildew stains off his patio pavers. Afterward, he would be drenched and dirty and still be left with a mess he had to clean up after finishing.
Even though power washing was effective, Freddy had the problem of sand particles going into his pool.
All Freddy has to do now is spray Wet and Forget on what he wants to clean, and walk away.
“It’s a much easier process than power washing.” – Freddy G.
Wet & Forget is so easy to use. Here’s a quick how-to guide for applying Wet & Forget Xtreme Reach™ Hose End to a paver patio:
- Attach your garden hose to your bottle of Wet & Forget and attach the fan tip.
- Turn the water on.
- Twist the black dial counterclockwise to the ‘Water’ setting. Rinse nearby plants to protect plants from product overspray.
- Turn the nozzle dial to the ‘ON’ setting when you are ready to start the application process.
- Thoroughly saturate the surface you’re working on with Wet and Forget.
- Once the desired surface is completely saturated, turn the nozzle dial back to ‘Water’ and rinse the plants again.
- Finally, turn the nozzle dial to ‘Off’ and turn your water off.
- Let the product dry and forget about it. No more work is needed.
Note: Check the forecast and make sure there is no rain for at least 4-5 hours after applying the product. Also, make sure the temperature is over 55 degrees when applying. Lastly, we recommend applying on a cooler, overcast day to avoid any rapid evaporation of the product.
After seeing such great results on his patio pavers, Freddy decided to try Wet and Forget on a section of his roof. The section he tried it on is always in the shade, so he had a problem with black mold and mildew growing on it.
“I was hesitant to power wash on my roof because I didn’t want to ruin my roofing shingles, and I used Wet and Forget on that and it was amazing. This year, I plan to use one of the bottles I bought to clean my entire roof, not just that one section.” -Freddy G.
Pressure washing can cause roof singles to break and caulking to tear/split, allowing water to leak into your house. Wet and Forget’s no-scrub formula won’t damage or discolor any part of your roof.
“You should never clean asphalt roofing materials with a pressure washer, for a number of reasons. And, in fact, it’s probably a good idea to take roofs off of your pressure washing to-do list altogether,” says House Digest.
Freddy also struggled with mold and mildew stains on his backyard shed. After seeing such great results on his patio pavers and roof, he decided to use it on there as well!
“I like that I know it’s going to work. I am confident in your product, and I don’t talk confidently about a lot of products, but I am confident that if I spray it on in early spring, my patio and roof are going to look great. You have to be patient and understand how it works” -Freddy G.
Freddy bought three bottles of Wet and Forget last year because of the results he saw. He has already sprayed it on his patio pavers and roof and plans to find more uses for it.
